Steamboat CO. There are plenty of reasons Steamboat Colorado is home to more winter Olympians than any other community in the world: an extraordinary mountain, Champagne Powder and a friendly western town dedicated to excellence are just a few. With over 20 lifts, 3,000 acres and 142 trails, Steamboat’s six peaks can be enjoyed by all. Discover a freerider’s paradise in the Mavericks Superpipe and SoBe Terrain Park.
Visitors leave Steamboat CO with warm memories of alpenglow sunsets, fine dining (there are more than 70 restaurants) and winter fun with sleigh rides, snowmobiling and dog sledding. Perhaps their soul was restored with an invigorating spa treatment or a restorative soak in Steamboat’s natural hot springs.
When twenty seven feet of snow melts, the Yampa Valley erupts into velvety green meadows awash with wildflowers and aspen groves. Sunny skies and idyllic temperatures make the choices very difficult indeed at Steamboat Colorado. Hiking, biking, gliding down the alpine slide, fly-fishing, white-water rafting, horseback riding, scenic hot-air balloon rides? Or maybe take a Steamboat gondola ride and spend the day relaxing atop Mt. Werner admiring the spectacular views of the Yampa Valley. Tee off on one of Steamboat’s Pro-Rodeo. Discover Steamboat’s cultural side at the internationally acclaimed Strings in the Mountains Music Series, the Steamboat Wine Festival, Art-In-The-Park or at any one of the summer festivals at Steamboat. This is precisely why folks come back to Steamboat CO year after year.
